T&K has always placed an emphasis on training and certification. Periodically each year, T&K invites a manufacturer to demonstrate new products and techniques. Some of our internal programs include:

• Primary emphasis has been the union apprenticeship program. Kurt Tjelmeland serves on the apprenticeship committee and has taken an active role in designing and implementing the program.
• T&K foremen and journeymen attend 20-25 hours of ongoing training and education each year-primarily in safety including OSHA training, First Aid and CPR training and general safety.
• All asbestos supervisors are required to attend annual training as a prerequisite to maintaining their licenses
