1988 RSI Magazine's National Roofing Contractor of the Year Award
T&K Roofing Company was presented with the RSI (Roofing/Siding/Insulation) Magazine's National Roofing Contractor of the Year Award on in February 1988 in Dallas, Texas. T&K competed in a category with under $2 million in annual sales volume. In addition to the presentation at the NRCA convention, T&K was also featured in the February issue of the magazine.
1989 RSI Magazine's National Roofing Contractor of the Year Award
For the first time in the history of the RSI award, a two-time winner was chosen in 1989. T&K was again selected, this time in the 2 million in sales volume category. As one of the judges pointed out in the previous year, "the company was poised for growth." T&K was honored at a presentation at the NRCA convention in New Orleans.
Blue Chip Enterprise Award
In March of 1991 T&K Roofing Company received word the company has been chosen as one of the four Blue Chip Enterprise designees from the state of Iowa in the Blue Chip Enterprise Initiative. T&K's selection was based on "one of the best examples in Iowa of a small business that effectively used resources to overcome adversity and emerge stronger." T&K was officially recognized at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce meeting in Washington D.C. in April 1991.
2000 RSI Magazine's National Roofing Contractor of the Year Award
In February, T & K was selected as the RSI (Roofing/Siding/Insulation) National Roofing Contractor of the Year 2000 in Category 1 (covering companies with annual sales volumes of over $6 million) in the annual competition sponsored by RSI Magazine. T&K is the only roofing contractor in the 16 year history of this award to be selected in each of the three competitive categories-a tribute to its growth and continued success.
RSI Magazine is a monthly publication with a qualified circulation of 23,000 roofing, siding and insulation contractors. The magazine's February issue features T & K's accomplishments in its cover story.
"Entries are evaluated in three key areas: workmanship, sales and marketing efforts, and industry and community service. Judges for this prestigious nationwide competition are industry experts, separate from the magazine's staff," explains RSI Editor/Associate Publisher Mike Russo. "Judges were impressed with the all-round quality of this company's extensively documented entry portfolio."
